| The end of season banquet will be on November 1st. Payment for the banquet was due TODAY (Friday). However, Edinburgh gave us one extra day, so if you want to attend the banquet, get your $10 in by Monday. If you have not paid and plan to attend, please email me to let me know you will attend and get your payment in on Monday. We were hoping that the fundraisers would cover the cost of the banquet and the players could be free, but we did not raise enough money. If you do not pay your $10, you will not be able to attend as we need to RSVP the number of people that will attend. The number we tell Edinburgh will be the number registered. |

Varsity: Osseo 2, Andover 0 The Orioles possessed the ball well this game and dictated most of the game by controlling the midfield. The first goal came late in the first have on a through ball from Corbin Cole to Hussein Abdulrazaq. The second goal came late in the second half on a nice pass from Peter Hager to Luc Norman. The defense, anchored by Casey Cardille, Luke Van Geest, Carlos Mari, and Lionel Karyea played extremely well. Osseo finishes the regular season with a 10-5-1 overall record and 7-2-1 conference record. Scorers: Hussein Abdulrazaq (Corbin Cole), Luc Norman (Peter Hager)

| Varsity: Osseo 0, Spring Lake Park/St Anthony 1 The Orioles didn't show the same team play that worked so well against Blaine, but only gave up one goal. The Orioles fall to 9-4-1 overall. |

Varsity: Osseo 1, Blaine 0 (OT) The Orioles scored a goal late in the second overtime on a nice through ball from Abdallah Bah to Hussein Abdulrazaq. Scorers: Hussein Abdulrazaq (Abdallah Bah). This improves the Orioles overall record to 9-3-1.
The game will be on Channel 12 the following times/dates:

- Varsity schedule is updated with times for Sections.
- Cookie dough will be delived on Monday, October 11th. Please plan to distribute your cookie dough that evening after practice.
- Senior night will be held at the Andover game on Thursday, October 7th.
- Channel 12 will be taping the boys and girls varsity games against Blaine on Thursday, September 30th.

| Varsity: Osseo 1, Elk River 0 The Orioles scored a goal midway through the first half on a nice combination from Patrick Paye to Sam Mason to Hussein Abdulrazaq. The Orioles held off a strong attack by the Elks in the second half to secure the victory. Scorers: Hussein Abdulrazaq (Sam Mason). This improves the Orioles overall record to 8-3-1. |

Varsity: Osseo 1, Champlin 0 - The Orioles secured another win when junior Abdallah Bah placed a shot just inside the far post early in the second half to score the only goal of the game. Great defensive game from the entire Orioles team with Luke Van Geest getting his first save of the season to keep the game scoreless early.

Varsity: Osseo 2, Centennial 1 (Win, OT) - The teams played to a scoreless first half with the Orioles failing to convert on half a dozen scoring opportunities. Centennial scored on a 2 on none breakaway midway through the second half when the defense failed to clear the ball. The Orioles regrouped and kept up the pressure and were able to tie the game at 1-1 when Peter Hager struck a free kick into the goal. The Orioles went ahead 2-1 when Corbin Cole hit a header into the goal on a beautiful cross from Gus Wiagbe. Overall a strong defensive game for the Orioles with enough attack at the end to notch the win. Scorers: Peter Hager, Corbin Cole (Gus Wiagbe)

Scores
- Varsity: Osseo 1, Maple Grove 1 (Tie) - A tough battle most of the game with the Crimson taking a 1-0 lead on a goal by Chase Carey. Osseo countered near the middle of the second half when Corbin Cole ripped a shot from just outside the 18 through some traffic and past the goalie. Scorers: Corbin Cole
- JV: Osseo 1, Maple Grove 3 (Loss) - Osseo had several chances early in the first half but couldn't finish. Tied at one, Maple Grove went up 2-1 on a penalty kick. Osseo tried hard and had more chances toward the end of the game but fell short 1-3. Goaltender Brady Hartsel was outstanding in the net, making some impressive saves! Scorers: Gabriel Toiye (from Tinna Tin and Nolan Schipper)
- B Squad: Osseo 3, Maple Grove 2 (Win) - Maple Grove had controlled at the beginning but couldn't get it in Osseo's net. The middle of the first half Osseo's Andy Pilon sent the ball from half way line to Winston Lane. Osseo and Maple Grove were fighting for the ball. Winston got control, went down on a break away and shot the ball lower right corner and scored. The half ended. The second half started and with in ten minutes the Maple Groves defense took a shot from half field in the air but the wind took it down and went over Osseo's goalie's head and scored. Shortly after Osseo struck back when Osseo's Winston Lane went one on one with Maple Grove's defense. Osseo got the ball on a break away and scored lower left. Five minutes later Osseo booted the ball to half way and Maple Grove's defense got the ball, brought the ball up with no one on him and shot past the goalies box and curved, hit the Osseo's goalies hand and scored. The game continued and with two minutes left of the second half. Edwin Barlee crossed the ball to the center of the field to Aric Kohns. Aric brought it across the goalies box turned and shot. The ball went right to the upper right hand corner and scored the game winning goal. Scorers: Winston Lane III (2), Aric Kohns
- Freshman: Osseo 0, Maple Grove 7 (Loss) After giving up an early goal, the Orioles never got untracked and Maple Grove found the goal several more times during the game. - Scorers: None

| Varsity: Osseo lost to Rogers 4-1 in a match at Rogers High School. An early goal by Hussein Abdulrazaq gave the Orioles a 1-0 lead, but that was the last time the Orioles would score. |

| Varsity: Osseo defeated Park Center 1-0 in a match at Park Center High School. The Orioles put together a few good attacks, but only got one ball into the net. Patrick Paye scored midway thorugh the first half with an assist from Luc Norman. |

| Varsity: Osseo defeated Mounds View 3-2 in a match at Carl A Tonn field. Hussein Abdulrazaq gave the Orioles an early lead 1-0, but Mounds View was able to even up the game on a defensive breakdown by the Orioles. Osseo took a 2-1 lead when Peter Hager took a pass from Luc Norman and drilled it into the net. Osseo went up 3-1 on when Gus Wiagbe moved the ball quickly to Luke Van Geest who pushed it forward to Luc Norman for a goal. Mounds View scored later on a nice header into the corner of the net. | Make sure you have your sports physical form completed by tryouts on 8/16. Zach Schubert mentioned that North Metro Pediatrics provides the physical at a reasonable cost. They have a sliding fee scale, will see anyone with or without insurance, and only charge $20 min. at the time of the appointment. They're also doing a bunch of physicals in mid. August at Fridley High School for $20. |
