2007-10-17. Congrats to the Crimsons as Section Champions and good luck in State Tournament.
2007-10-14. Maple Grove vs Spring Lake Park. Better coaches and organized preparation will win this game.
2007-10-13. The Crimsons have reached the Section Championship once again for second year in a row. Congrats!
2007-10-13. Spring Lake Park what a surprise but knowing the coaches shouldn't be. They know how to get the boys prepared for big games.
2007-10-12. Da Orioles seeded #1 and crashed out at the hands of #8 Irondale. Who's dat?
2007-10-12. The Rebels seeded #3 and doomed without their injured forward.

Section 7AA Update.
2007-10-17. Congrats to the Tornadoes as Section Champions and good luck in State Tournament.
2007-10-14. Anoka vs Coon Rapids should be a good game. The Tornadoes are heavily favorites but don't count out the Cardinals just yet.
Da Orioles lost to the Cardinals back 9/13 with 1-2 score in a tight game. This is should be a close game with the Tornadoes scoring first
and the Cardinals pouring it on to tie it for OT and possibly shootout.

| Varsity 1-1 (PK 2-3) Irondale. Away Game.
#1 Osseo (12-3-2) vs #8 Irondale (7-8-3).
This lost is a bit tougher to swallow in losing to #8 seeded team in Section 5AA.
But after looking back it was doomed to be with too many individually plays and not enough teamwork.
Da Orioles started the game and playing with many disconnected passes. Both teams trying to control the
midfield plays and possess the ball to spring the attacks. Da Orioles disorganized attacking and strong
defense by the Knights making a seesaw game. Da Orioles outshooting the Knights but most shots either off target
or coming weak and easily get picked off. Lucas Hoang worked the left flank to cut inside for a shot near the
18th and missed the right post by inches. First-half ended in 0-0.
Starting of second-half Da Orioles stepped up and attacking hard putting the Knights on their heels.
Ten minutes into the second-half, John Neufville made a nice quick cut inside from right side of
the box and got clipped for a foul.
Patrick "Sure-Footed PK" Hager made no mistake in putting the ball in the net and put us up in front 1-0.
The Knights put up good effort in defending the relentless attacks from Da Orioles camp and trying to
get a counter-attack going. In the 20th-minute, the Knights got a break down on the right of Orioles defense
and got a good hard shot at the goal. Ethan Weeks came up big with a tip save but the ball hit the crossbar
and bounced out. There was some physical play between Trenton Quick and a Knight player for the loose ball
on left side and somehow the Ref called a penalty on Trent. This has to be one of the most questionable call
of the night by the Ref IMO. To make a PK call, the Ref has to be 110% sure that the foul took place.
The Knights made the PK and now we're even at 1-1.
Da Orioles pressing hard and it's clear evident that teamwork got relegated to second place
and replaced with individuals thinking and playing. More pressure to score for Da Orioles
and every individually attacking was stuffed with the Knight strong defense. Second-half ended with 1-1 tie.
Overtime in Section tournament consists of two 10-minute periods and golden goal. Whoever scores first wins.
The next 20 minutes of overtime repeated the last 20 minutes of the regular time. More of individually plays
and more of strong defense to stuff it. Overtime ended with 1-1 tie and now come the PK shootout (spot kicks)
and it's anybody's game.
Patrick "Sure-Footed PK" Hager missed the PK for the first time this year. Ethan Weeks made an incredible
diving save on the right side to even the score at 0-0.
Lucas Hoang stepped up and slotted the ball on lower left for a goal. Knights player made the PK. Score 1-1.
Faisal Bah put the ball high left for a score. Ethan nearly saved the goal. Score 2-2.
Philip Nagbe straight on PK was saved. Ethan missed the save. Score 2-3.
George Kawalawu straight on PK was saved and game over.
Scorers: Patrick Hager (PK). Shootout: Patrick Hager (missed), Lucas Hoang (scored), Faisal Bah (scored),
Philip Nagbe (saved), George Kawalawu (saved).

| Varsity 0-1 Anoka. Away Game.
Da Orioles can share the Conference Champions title in winning this game. Anoka only needed to win or tie to take it all.
First-half both teams played cautiously without committing much for goals. There were good opportunities for both teams to go on top
but finishing needed more work. Second-half the Tornadoes starting to dominate the midfield plays and contained Da Orioles attacking flanks.
Da Orioles defense holding strong inside the box and wouldn't buckle on the Tornadoes attacks. The seesaw battle continued until late in the
second-half when the Tornadoes stretched Da Orioles defense with a through-ball on the left flank and crossed to the back post for a header
goal. The Tornadoes took the Conference title and Da Orioles got second place with record of 6-2-1 (WLT).
Scorers: None.

| NWSC JV Jamboree Tournament Game 2. JV 4-1 Coon Rapids. Away Game.
Coon Rapids beat Anoka to get into this Championship game.
The last time we met, the Cardinals were outmatched by our firepower. This time they've called up the reinforcements and put up a quick
score early in the game. Their plays were more speedy and more physical. Da Orioles stepped up their game and neutralized the threats.
Controlling the midfield to launch attacks on the flanks and down the middle. Seun (Shay) Aremu finally got a through ball and beat the last
defender and charging Keeper and slotted the ball for our first goal. Da Orioles put more pressure and attacked hard and fast causing
turmoils in the Cardinals defending third. Ahmad Bah powerful volley from a corner kick for the go ahead goal.
From there on, it was all Da Orioles game.
Alex Vo once again using his speed on left flank to beat the defender to go one-on-one with the Keeper and scored. Shay scored on another
through ball. Da Orioles just got too much game for the Cardinals. Final game of the season and still undefeated at 18-0 record.
Scorers: Seun (Shay) Aremu (2), Ahmad Bah, Alex Vo.

This is the first time since I've been JV Coach that JV team got to go to post-season tournament. I guess there wasn't much interests
from NWSC schools until this year. We're rated #1 and facing #4 Centennial while #2 Anoka facing #3 Coon Rapids. The winners of these
games to meet in Championship game. Da Orioles looking a bit rusty to start. Gradually starting to dominate the plays but couldn't break the
Cougars defensive line. Al Vo made a great run on left flank to beat the defenders for a shot and then followed through with the rebound
for our first goal. Da Orioles totally dominated the second-half. The Cougars hardly crossed the half way mark and had to pack most of
players back to defend the back third. Finally Shay finished off a loose ball from the scramble inside the box.
Still undefeated at 17-0 record.
Scorers: Alex Vo, Seun (Shay) Aremu.

Varsity 1-0 Park Center. Away game.
As usual there's a fierce rivalry between the Orioles and Pirates. Players on both teams know each other well
either from playing on the summer team or neighborhood acquaintance. There was an unfinished business that Da Orioles
had to take care of and it was the lost 1-0 to the Pirates last year. It left them a bad taste in their mouth
and felt the lost was unjust. This year Da Orioles want to make sure it won't happen again. Both teams coming
out playing at high intensity and pace between the 18th's. Gradually Da Orioles gaining control of the midfield
through faster playing the ball and utilized Lucas Hoang to attack on left flank and George Kawalawu on right flank.
This gave Pirates a lot problems. On the other hand, there was some disconnect in the Pirates attacks.
They had a single Midfielder and couldn't play the ball fast enough to the Forwards or underutilized the wingers to
advance their attacks. Da Orioles defense read the scripts and circumvented any long ball plays. Da Orioles had
several good chances to put up goals on board but failed. First-half ended with 0-0.
Da Orioles started the second-half where they left off with high intensity pace attacking on the flanks.
Noticeable the pace dropped off for the Pirates and they were on their heels defending the relentless
Orioles attacks. George worked the right flank and got free for a penetration run near the end line.
Pirates Keeper ran out to challenge but he stopped and he was in no-man's land.
George didn't have the angle to shoot and crossed the ball inside.
Several Pirates defenders missed in clearing the ball and Albert "Tiger Shark" Sims smelled the blood
and poked the ball in for a goal. Toward the end of regular time, the Pirates pressed hard for equalizer
and had several good chances but Ethan Weeks was on his game and made crucial saves. Especially on high lofting
50-50 balls in the box with several Pirates crashing the net. I have to say it's one of his best game performance to date.
Da Orioles hung on for a just victory in a beautiful evening. Scorers: Albert Sims.
On a side note, Captains Patrick Hager and Lucas Hoang were interviewed by John Jacobson from Channel 12 Cable TV.

JV 2-0 Park Center. Away game.
The Pirates were determined to ruin Da Orioles perfect season party and put up a big fight.
Neither teams controlled the game earlier in the game but Da Orioles had more chances to go up first.
It took a little longer than anticipated for "The Finisher" to get back on track as Seun (Shay) Aremu
got fed a perfect setup pass right down the middle from Quinn Cardille and he was one-on-one with the
Pirates Keeper. Shay quickly and calmly tucked it to the right corner for a goal. Later in the second-half,
Pirates Keeper bobbled and dropped a high ball with pressure from Shay
and he rounded the Kepper and tucked in it for his second goal. Scorers: Seun (Shay) Aremu (2).
There were some pressured attacks late in the game from Pirates but nothing our defense can handle.
We end our regular season undefeated with the record of 16-0-0 (W-L-T).
Da Orioles know how to take care of business and they do it well! Congrats!!!

Section 5AA "Prediction"
From looking at records and schedules and other factors for all the teams in this Section 5AA,
it's easy putting Osseo and Champlin Park on top and Park Center and Irondale at bottom in the ranking.
After that, the middle teams are equally competitive and can surprise top teams.
Our Osseo Orioles will encounter tough opponents like Maple Grove and Champlin Park in the tournament.
Any top teams can win it and it won't be easy but I will go out on a limb
and say we will be the Section 5AA Champions this year.
Section ranking: 1.Osseo, 2.Champlin Park,
3.Centennial, 4.Maple Grove, 5.Spring Lake Park,
6.Mounds View, 7.Park Center, 8.Irondale.

| Varsity 2-1 Elk River. Home game.
First-half was a seesaw battle and ended with 0-0 score. Da Orioles came out after half-time and stepped up a couple of notches.
Albert Sims quick shot for a goal out from a scramble in the box. Lucas Hoang slammed one home from Philip Nagbe's low and hard cross on right.
The Elks quickly answered with a goal and pressuring hard for another to equalize the score. They've tried and tried but Orioles defensive
line wouldn't buckle again. Da Orioles defensive line (CJ Flowers, Patrick Hager, Trenton Quick, Jacob Sager) is doing a good job in
containing the opponents pressure and attacks.
Scorers: Albert Sims, Lucas Hoang.

| JV 5-0 Elk River. Home game.
Interestingly the Elks playing the dump-and-chase game and bypassing the midfield play, this worked right into Da Orioles strongest point:
control and dominate the midfield to spring attacks from many angles. Nate Johnsen scored a header goal with a cross from right flank and
added another with a shot from 30-yards out. Mike Geak finally scored his first goal with a PK in the second-half. Now we only have Tyler
Ladd left to make a goal. Ahmad Bah followed with his dribbling run for a goal. John Wilson crossed one in from left to the sixth and with
a mistake from the Keeper, the ball ended in back of the net. Da Orioles strong line of defense played an excellent game in circumventing
the dump-and-chase game to get the ball back to midfielders.
The torrential rains started early in the game and continued to end of game. Funny thing was the puddle just in front of the net saved
us a goal. A shot came in caught Tyler out of position and it was on its way in for the Elks goal but when it hit that puddle it came to
a screeching halt for Tyler to easily pick it up. No photos were taken in this game due to drenching rain.
Scorers: Nate Johnsen (2), Mike Geak, Ahmad Bah, John Wilson.

| Varsity 6-2 Andover. Away game.
The Huskies gave a grand effort last night but Da Orioles have got too much firepower for them.
There are some Seniors on the team that don't get much playing time but when they do they give
all they've got in making a difference in the game. Ben Wutschke came on and worked the right flank hard in attacking and defending.
He got free for penetration run with the ball and setup a perfect ball for Philip Nagbe to slam home
for a goal. Max Slater is another and he's one crazy workhorse in whatever position he plays on the field.
Rob Noland sometimes can mezmerize and surprise the opponents with his moves.
We're happy to have them on our team.
Scorers: Albert Sims, Lucas Hoang, Whitney Browne (2), Philip Nagbe, John Nuefville.

| Varsity 2-0 #4 Champlin Park. Away game.
Da Orioles came out against the Rebels #4 in state ranking and played the game like they meant it...vengeance
in their eyes and fire in their bellies.
Good team effort from all around positions in attacking and defending. Whitney Browne penetrated the left flank
and crossed a low ball into the box for John Neufville to finished it off with a quick hard shot.
Rebels Keeper had no chance in saving that hard and low shot. A seesaw battle ensued after the goal.
Defending and booting ball from the back were the keys for most part of the game between the two teams.
As time closing in on the Rebels, they've mounted waves of pressured attacks for an equalizer but were turned away
by Orioles defense department. Soon enough the Rebels got caught in a quick counter-attack and Albert Simms
found himself against fast charging Keeper. He let off a shot passing by the Keeper to find the back of the net.
By winning this game, Da Orioles have a very good chance in claiming the #1 spot in Section 5AA Playoff.
It's a great win for the boys.
Scorers: John Neufville, Albert Sims.

| JV 6-1 Champlin Park. Away game.
Coming off the jitters in first few minutes in playing the undefeated Rebels,
Da Orioles starting to take control of the game and mounting pressured attacks from all sides.
Jake Hansen worked on the right flank to get free and crossed a high looping ball to far post.
Alex Vo on his penetration run from the left, jumped high and headed in for a goal.
Wow! That was a text book play and finish.
Da Orioles assertiveness and confidence on the field were very present after the goal and continued throughout the game.
Goals starting to fall in with Ahmad Bah (dangling ball between his legs...literally),
Quinn Cardille (nice finish from the key), Alex Vo (nice bending free-kick),
and Joey Noah (good poke with his new shoes this time).
I'm impressed with Nate Johnsen ability in running the midfield with supporting and attacking. Tyler Ladd
made an effort to score by himself...nice try for the Keeper. Da Orioles got a nice complement from Rebels Coach.
Scorers: Alex Vo (2), Ahmad Bah (2), Quinn Cardille, Joey Noah.

| Varsity 2-1 Blaine. Home game.
No need for warm-up, Albert Sims scored thirty two seconds into the match. It's probably the fastest score for Varsity team in
school history. After that quick goal, Da Orioles pulled up the blanket for a nap. There were few good opportunities but we're
talking chances here. The Bengals starting to warm-up and dominated the midfield plays but cannot break through Da Orioles
defense. In the second-half, the Bengals woke up Da Orioles with a goal. There was some miscommunication between the defenders to
let them slipped by. Now Da Orioles feeling some heat and Max Slater trounced a Bengals player in the box and that's a PK against us.
At this level, PK's are hardly missed. Keeper has to use their reading of the PK kicker to pick the angle for the save.
Ethan perfectly read the PK kicker's thought and stopped it. Wow!
Now Da Orioles starting to wake up and attacking hard. John Neufville put a perfect through ball
at the eighteenth for Philip Nagbe to run on. Facing the Keeper one-on-one, with couple of touches he blasted it in for the game
winner.
Scorers: Albert Sims, Philip Nagbe.

| JV 1-0 Blaine. Home game.
Da Orioles started the game with speedy and controlled passing putting the Bengals on their heels right away.
Probing many angles to shoot but Bengals pulling many bodies in the box making it hard to get the shots off.
In the second-half, Matt Bennett got a through ball from the back and drove inside the box to be clipped by a defender.
Ahmad Bah stepped up and put the ball away for the goal. Later on, Rex Dweh got a perfect pass and all alone on the sixth from Ahmad Bah.
He opted to dance to the tune of Looney Tuney and got the ball stripped off. Good one Freshman! Next time get your soccer game on
instead of that cwazy dancing music. Da Orioles got a nice compliment from Bengals Coach.
Scorers: Ahmad Bah (PK).

It was tough going for Da Orioles first 20 minutes trailing a goal to Grand Rapids. A place that you wouldn't think that many would know how to
play soccer. Surprisingly the team is well coached in techniques and tactics. They took the game to us.
Finally Whitney Browne scored the equalizer in the first-half. There was a foul against Grand Rapids in penalty area and sure enough Patrick
"Sure-Footed PK" Hager couldn't miss another freebie. In the second-half, Whitney Browne scored on a breakaway. Rob Noland put a through-ball
up front. Grand Rapids defender chased it down and passed to Keeper to clear but he whiffed it and the ball rolled in the net.
I guess Rob Noland can get credit for that goal.
Scorers: Whitney Browne (2), Patrick Hager (PK), Rob Noland (OG).

One of Coach's goals is to have everyone on the team scored...at least once. So today the ones that haven't scored that mostly
defenders got put up front to get the best possible chance to feel the exhilaration in putting the ball back of net. Da Orioles
didn't have any problems in containing opponents threats at all. Soon the goals starting to fall in for us. First it was from John Wilson,
then Luke VanGeest, Peter Hager (scored from the toughest angle...from the end line!), Nate Johnsen (snuck up from defensive position),
and finally Jason Peterson (how many shots you need?!). Michael Geak tried and tried and tried but couldn't buy a goal today. Tyler Ladd
our regular Keeper just couldn't keep his head straight to see the net to shoot. He was just hot-dogging out on the field.
It was a fun game for the boys.
Scorers: John Wilson, Luke VanGeest, Peter Hager, Nate Johnsen, Jason Peterson.

| Varsity 2-1 #10 Maple Grove. Home game.
Thirteen minutes into the game, Albert Sims ran onto a setup ball across the sixth and he pounded it in for a goal.
Tendeh Brownell and John Neufville worked the ball on the left flank to set that ball up. The Crimsons answered with an equalized with a
crossing play soon after. The game was a see-saw battle after the goals. Da Orioles started the second-half strong with pressured attackings.
Albert Sims fought off a defender and got himself staring at the oncoming Keeper. He sidestepped the Keeper but was taken down hard from
behind. Patrick "Sure Footed PK" Hager slotted the ball from the spot for a goal. He just couldn't miss those easy goals. Da Orioles kept
the attacks coming. Lucas Hoang had a few chances to put the game away but he was a split second late and few dollars short. Maple Grove
mounted attacks for equalizer late in the game but just couldn't break the defensive line and last man in net Ethan Weeks.
Scorers: Albert Sims, Patrick Hager (PK).

| JV 2-1 Maple Grove. Home game.
The "Finisher" Seun (Shay) Aremu started us with a BANG! 20 seconds into the game with a rocket balls-busting shot into the net.
That's probably the quickest goal in school history. Da Orioles dominated the plays with wave of attacks in every direction.
All Crimsons can do were to boot balls out of the box.
Nate Johnsen finished the string of passes started from defense through the midfield plays and ended up in Crimsons 6-yard line.
Too much anxiety to lid up the Crimson goal for the boys and they're not making the proper judgement and plays on the field.
They're pushing too hard and that can work against them by not playing as team. They need to learn to calm down and play their
game just like against Armstrong when they were down 2 goals and came back to win it. I'm particular impressed with
Luke VanGeest as Left Defender and Jason Peterson as Center Defender ability to follow through on coaching points in
improving their game. Da Orioles got a nice complement from Crimsons Coach.
Scorers: Seun (Shay) Areum, Nate Johnsen.

Looking like a real tough day for us when down two goals early in first-half. Da Orioles settled down and played their game and did not
panic. We had all the plays and string of passes going except for the finishing but I assured the players it will come in due time. Da Orioles
were pressing attacks at every angle they could find. Oscar Alvarado worked on the right flank and crosses a perfect ball to Alex Vo.
He one-touch controlled and blasted it for a goal. Da Orioles came out the second-half and picked up where they left off.
Nate Johnsen and Ahmad Bah controlled the midfield and mounting attacks.
Seun (Shay) Areum got a through ball on right and crossed a low and hard ball across the sixth where Alex Vo finished it off for his second goal and equalizer.
Now Da Orioles train is moving and ain't stopping for a tie.
Alex Vo took the direct free-kick about 25 yards out and hit the crossbar. There were three Orioles came for the rebound.
Matt Bennett pounced on it and blasted it in for the go ahead goal. Defense did a superb job in recovering after down two goals early.
That's how we play Orioles soccer.
Scorers: Alex Vo (2), Matt Bennett.

| Varsity 1-2 Coon Rapids. Away game.
Neither team really had any control or momemtum early in the first-half. Later on, Da Orioles starting to gain some control in the
midfield and Lucas Hoang worked the left flank to cross a perfect ball in the box and Philip Nagbe finished with a nice low shot for
a score. Second-half Da Orioles somehow couldn't control the midfield or finding the passing game to work up and was dominated by
the opponent attacks. The Cardinals scored on a nice direct-kick play in front of box and later added a deflected goal. Da Orioles
mounted attacks for an equalizer late in the game but effort failed short.
Scorers: Philip Nagbe.

| JV 6-0 Coon Rapids. Away game.
Da Orioles started the attack quick and deep inside Cardinals zone. Attacks from the left, right, middle Da Orioles making.
Once again Ahmad Bah utilized his dribbling ability to penetrate inside the box and struck home his goals. Da Orioles totally
controlled the midfield and had any little threats that our defense can't contain and dispossess. I'm happy to see Josh Plummer and
Matt Bennett joining the scoring board. Playing smart in controlling the ball, moving together in attacks and defending, setting up
and finishing, is what we've trained to do and the boys are taking care of business. I like it.
Scorers: Ahmad Bah (3), Josh Plummer, Matt Bennett, Rex Dweh.

| JV 3-1 Centennial. Home game.
Miscommunication between defenders and we gave up an early goal. Da Orioles settled down and turned up Da Heat in mounting pressured
attacks for equalizer. Alex Vo got a setup pass from Ahmad Bah and blasted one in from a close range. Ahmad played a good game today
at Center-Mid position. Using his dribbling ability to beat defenders and get himself open for a shot or set someone else to shoot.
He finally got a goal in after many attempts. Nate Johnsen seems to come around and getting better at the game. He too joined the
scoring board with a very nice shot. Seun (Shay) Areum couldn't buy himself a goal today but he bought himself a red card though.
He has to learn to respect the Ref and accept the calls.
Scorers: Alex Vo, Ahmad Bah, Nate Johnsen.

| Varsity 1-1 Hopkins. Home game.
It was a see-saw battle between the teams until Sizi Kawalawu got a through-ball from a counter-attack. He drove to near the left end line
and after a few shooting attempts he managed to strike home from a very sharp angle with a defender on his back and Keeper closing up the
tight angle. That goal was pure determination. There were some nice combination plays to get open for a shot in front of goal but
finishing failed too many times. After a fluke goal by the Royals, our defense tighten up and denied opponent attacks to end the game
in a draw in OT.
Scorers: Sizi Kawalawu.

| JV 3-0 Hopkins. Away game.
This is one of the best midfielders game I've seen in years. Nate Johnsen played a superb game as Center-Mid with positioning,
control, distribution, penetration, and shooting. We totally controlled the midfield with short passing game to
launch attacks on the flanks and penetration down the middle. Once again, Seun (Shay) Aremu has unleashed his finishing prowess
and struck home three goals. Seun (Shay) is an animal around the goal area. Wow! Defense doesn't get much notice but Jason Petersen
has gotten smarter in reading the attacks and put a stop to them.
Mike Geak and John Wilson are holding strong on the left and right defense. Good job!
Da Orioles got a very nice complement from Royals Coach.
Scorers: Seun (Shay) Aremu (3).

| Varsity 4-5 Osseo Alumni. Head Coach Don Rick and Coach Carl Hoang participated in the game with Coach Carl assisted for a score
for the alumni team heading up by former Head Coach Jeff Siegel. Coach Carl was the beast on the field (oh yeah baby!) making runs after runs that kept Osseo defense
on their toes and tongues hanging out. Coach Don was out there for 5 minutes of fame rallying Orioles to tie up the score but to no avail.
Picnic afterwards with everyone was great.

|
| JV 3-2 Anoka. Away game.
We started the game with Ahmad Bah and Nathan Johnsen controlling the midfield to launch attack on the wings.
Tornadoes having problems containing Alex Vo on left flank as he keeping penetration runs.
Matt Bennett working on right flank and giving them problems too. He got fouled in the box and Seun (Shay) blasted the PK in.
Alex Vo is now playing as Forward with Seun (Shay).
You know the saying "It's not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog!".
Alex has proven this saying to the tee. He doesn't have the size but with his speed and quickness and determination,
he gave the defenders so much problems up front that they didn't know what position they're playing.
Rex Dweh crossed a perfect ball inside the box from the right.
Alex pounced on it with a defender a foot taller than him closing in quickly and struck a hard shot for a goal in mid-air.
Tornadoes Keeper didn't even have a chance to move. What a move and finishing shot!
Well we had to keep the game interesting and gave up two goals early in the second-half.
It seemed like Tornadoes are gaining the momentum but Da Orioles defense held on tight.
About 15 minutes to regulation time, Seun (Shay) Arema got a counter-attack ball from the back.
With two defenders on his back and one closing in quick he plowed through them to get the ball and found himself
one-on-one with the Keeper. Seun (Shay) nicely tucked it to the far side corner. Very nice touch!
The Anoka Refs got into the game too by extending the game to more than five minutes.
Da Orioles didn't care. They just denied any attacks to end the game with sweet sound of victory!
Scorers: Seun (Shay) Aremu (2), Alex Vo.

| Varsity 3-1 #5 Minneapolis South. Home game.
A see-saw battle in first half with John Neufville goal. The Tigers controlling the midfield but can't really break down the tight
Orioles defensive line anchoring by CJ Flowers and Patrick Hager along with Kawalawu brothers Sizi and George. Albert Sims put a perfect
through ball to John Neufville on the run but he got fouled in the box. Patrick Hager scored from penalty kick. John received a pass
on the left flank and with some fancy footworks beat the defender and slotted the ball in the far corner. Today StarTribune has an article
on top ten soccer teams with Mpls South at #5 and with comment of "A lot of talent and very deep bench". From the game today, I think
StarTribune better check again with their scouting department. Can you say overrated? Maybe from last year scouting report.
Scorers: John Neufville (2), Patrick Hager (PK).

| JV 4-3 Minneapolis South. Home game. Da Orioles got more competition today from the Tigers.
The Tigers scored first on a counter attack and caught our defense flat footed.
We settled and controlled more possession at midfield and attacking from the flanks giving all sorts of problems for the Tigers in the box.
Alex Vo scored from penetrating run on left flank. Rex Dweh added a score from Jake Hansen setup pass. 2-1 Osseo at end of first half.
More problems for the Tigers in second half with Orioles attacks from all sides.
Out of controlled chaos in Tigers box, the "Finisher" Seun (Shay) Aremu rose up and put two goals in back of the net.
The Tigers got a PK from a careless tackle in the box and a late counter attack goal to keep the game more interesting.
The central defense anchored by Jason Peterson and Peter Hager is doing a good job in keeping opponents at bay and denying shots.
Scorers: Seun (Shay) Aremu (2), Alex Vo, Rex Dweh.

|
| Varsity 3-2 Spring Lake Park. Home game. Da Orioles looking tired and playing a lackluster game.
Nothing really happening until the second-half when Philip Nagbe poked one in. Patrick Hager followed with the penalty kick
when Philip Nagbe was fouled in the box. Soon after, the Panthers woke up and equalized within 10 minutes to regulation.
In the second OT, George Kawalawu crossed a beautiful ball from the right and Albert Sims header put it away for the win.
Scorers: Philip Nagbe, Patrick Hager (PK), Albert Sims.

|
| JV 3-2 Spring Lake Park. Home game. Another game with total domination and shots flying at will
but one missing link...finishing. Shots finding everywhere around the goal (high and wide) or straight to the Keeper.
Da Orioles managed to steer the ball the right way three times...TG.
The defense got caught couple of times napping and paid the price. Overall I like what I see so far.
From defending to midfield possesion to attacking and setup plays.
Scorers: Quinn Cardille, Rex Dweh, Ahmad Bah.

|
| Varsity 6-0 Rogers. Home game. Albert Sims started out with a BANG! for the Osseo
with a score in 90 seconds. Da Orioles Lucas Hoang and Faisal Bah controlling the midfield along with
strong defense from Patrick Hager and CJ Flowers have sprung many attacks in all directions.
It's hard to deny the relentless attacking.
Scorers: Lucas Hoang (2), George Kawalawu (2), Albert Sims (2).

|
| JV 11-0 Rogers. Home game. It's complete dominance in all aspects of the game.
One thing I have to say is Da Orioles know how to take care of business very seriously and having fun at the same time.
It's commendable that Rogers did not give up and kept on trying throughout the match.
Scorers: Jake Hanson (3), Jake Holien (2), Rex Dweh (2), Seun (Shay) Aremu, Oscar Alvarado, Ahmad Bah, Quinn Cardille.
